Soup Week

26-30 January 2026

GIVE TO SOUP WEEK

A time where we, as community, choose to live simply that others can simply live.

During Soup Week, we eat soup every night and give away the money we would have otherwise spent on food.

Soup is cheap to make and very simple, it can even leave you a bit hungry. In our lives, we have the privilege to choose to live like this for a week, many do not have that choice.

Eating Together

We will be eating together daily.

It’s not always possible to come for the whole evening - and that’s fine. Soup will be served between 6pm - 7:30pm, with people welcome to stay until 8pm daily.

There will also be time each night to pray.

Date: Monday, 26 January to Friday, 30 January 2026

Giving

No need for a big shop - join in and eat soup! Then give away the ‘extra’ money you would’ve spent on groceries.

This week we are giving to CSW to feed hungry, displaced families in Sudan and Sudanese refugees in Uganda.

Please donate Online via Stewardship, or bring cash on the night.
We recommend at least £1 per bowl of soup.

If giving via bank transfer, please use Reference: Soup Week

CSW: Sudan

Sudan is facing one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the world. Since April 2023, violent conflict between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) has led to devastating loss of life and mass displacement. At least 150,000 people have been killed, over 13 million forced from their homes, and around 30 million people are now in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. Attacks on hospitals, schools, and places of worship have left families without safety, food, or basic care.

Funds raised through this appeal will be given to CSW, who work through trusted church leaders in Sudan and local partners in Uganda. CSW will help ensure food and essential support reaches displaced Christian communities in Sudan - who often face discrimination when accessing aid - and Sudanese refugees in Uganda, many of whom lack regular access to food and medical care.
